Ghost Writing & Storytelling

Many people don’t think their life is interesting. They don’t think anyone would want to read about it.

But, in whatever way life occurs, when talked about in the right way, the story can not only entertain but move and inspire. Experiencing emotions through stories sets humans apart from other species. And being inspired is what drives us to set and attain goals.

As a ghostwriter or storyteller your story can be told and shared with family and friends or everyone who wants to read or learn about your past.

You provide the information needed to research your family history or topic and I will work from that data to write your story.

Quilting

Quilting is a craft just like writing is.

For many years I participated in craft markets as a maker of dolls’ clothes, household necessities, (aprons, adult bibs, cot sheets etc) and I took along my books and greeting cards. This is the first year I will join my quilting teacher and dear friend, Patricia, to sell our work together—the first year I will sell quilts.

You can see some of our quilting on this website, or you can come and meet us at The Uniting Church, 748 Robinson Road, Aspley from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon on Saturday October 28 where we will be with our lovely wares.

You will also see us at Burnie Brae at 60 Kuran Street, Chermside from 8.00 am to 12.00 noon on Saturday 25 th November 2023.

If you miss those two markets, the Christmas Craft Fair will occur in the wonderful old Embroiderers’ Guild Building at 149 Brunswick Street, Fortitude Valley on 26 th November 2023.

You will find unique gifts at all these markets and maybe even a treasure or two for yourself.

If you follow me on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/rhonda.v.dixon/

My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell

Whenever I pick up Gerald Durrells My Family and Other Animals, it’s like returning to a comfortable armchair. It’s because Durrell’s writing style is warm and easy. There are passages in this book that have had me crying with laughter. To me, it is extraordinary that a man who didn’t love writing (he wrote merely

A Quilter’s Learning Process: My Story

When I was a child, I thought, ‘Why cut up beautiful pieces of fabric just to sew them together again?’ I loved the pretty fabrics just the way they were. It wasn’t until much later, in adulthood, in fact, that I discovered the joy of creating patterns from beautiful fabrics. I was overjoyed when Patricia
